Post by: Nami Tamaki on December 06, 2013, 04:19:07 AM
It seemed like a good idea to sign up to this place - now I know what to do with all the seeds I've been collecting!

Profile update to follow, when I've checked what I've available.

My climate it is cool temperate maritime.

Also really looking forward to posting some nice photo's...

G'day Nami Tamaki!
Pleased to meet you.
Cant wait to see what you have on offer, and I really have my fingers crossed that some of your collection of seeds is from Japan.
My Mrs is Japanese and I'm always on the look out for herbs and vegies we cant get here in OZ.
Anyway, I'm sure you will like it here.
Lots of cool folks with lots of cool stuff.
Have a good one!

Well, this is me back again. It's been a busy two years - hence my lack of activity.
I'll take this opportunity to list some of my seeds:

Californian poppy - Eschscholzia californica
Fennel - Foeniculum vulgare
Sea buckthorn - Hippophae rhamnoides
Morning glory - Ipomoea sp.
Shrubby bushclover - Lespedeza bicolor (not var. japonica AFAIK :( )
Russian olive - Elaeagnus angustifolia
Autumn olive - Elaeagnus umbellata
Bee tree - Tetradium daniellii (syn. Euodia (Evodia) hupehensis)
Siberian catmint - Nepeta sibirica
Coleus - Solenostemon scuttelaroides

Cacti:
Echinopsis peruvianus
Echinopsis lageniformis (syn. Trichocereus bridgesii)

There maybe some others which I've overlooked; I'll update if necessary.

Welcome back Nami Tamaki. Where about are you? I see you have both Russian Olive and Autumn, I have both growing in close proximity to my home (always keep and eye open for interesting plants especially on public land and at institutions like university land).  There are some threads on line on Autumn Olive as an admix plant.  Best regards mj.

Welcome Nami Tamaki  :)
Funny, I´ve just planned to grow some Russian olive - Elaeagnus angustifolia from seeds soon.
Elaeagnus umbellata is very interesting too.
