U.C. Berkeley Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places in the world. I was lucky enough to live within driving distance and volunteered there for many years.
Anyone with an interest in plants needs to visit there at least once before they die.

Similar things to train tracks can be found at highways and even more so all sorts of construction sites, where earth moving work was done. They ship the machines across whole continents without cleaning, let alone sanitisation.
I remember a train that is probably out of service by now but back in the day it would transport poppy seed from austrian fields. Those small seeds are really hard to contain ;D and the tracks are the perfect environment for them to grow.
