Title: Nicotiana Rustica Mystery Mold From Outer Space
Post by: AcaciaAve on May 17, 2014, 05:19:51 AM
 :-\

This yellow/white stuff appeared about 1.5 weeks after sprouting.
The mushrooms popped up for one day and then got faded by the sun rays.
Note that this tray is by my front door so outside air is circulating when we are.
Have 2 other flats with N. Alata and N. Tobacum and they're doing fine. N. Alata actually the best out of all of them.

It doesn't appear that they are suffering at all from the spore galore.
There is an indentation where i scooped it out when it appeared, but it spread like bat wings over the next few days.

Will be attempting to transplant them in the coming days. It doesn't look like they're mature enough for a completely healthy transplant but will do my best.

Also, when the yellow spores are scooped up, they puff out a yellow dust.

Tips?

They almost look like panaeolus subbalteatus but those have black spores on the foil not a yellow color - definatly in need of a fungicide i recomend this stuff because its completely safe for most plants and because i have a couple ornimental cacti i keep in soggy (muddy) soil perminatly with no signs of mold rot or bacteria so i think its good stuff

They probably wont do much other than eat up the nutrients from the soil. If you don't mind me asking why did you place the plastic sheeting in the pot?
