Hello Everybody,
This site sounds super cool I love what it is all about. I have been an avid gardener for about 7 years now and in those 7 years I have grown pretty much everything under the sun. I have a collection of all my own bred seeds with probably about 200 different plant species. So I'm willing to trade what I have in abundance I will soon write up a list of everything I have.
Glad to see this board as a reality totally cool
:)

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you'll fit right in here.
When you get around to writing up that list you can put it on your profile page. There are sections for you to fill out grow/share and wish lists.

I like vines and cacti. I also like syrian rue because it was such a challenge to get them to grow right but when I finally did it felt so good.

Nice, what was so challenging about Syrian rue? I was considering germinating some seeds soon

getting the soil just right. sometimes it was too sandy or not enough sand. took me like 10 tries to get it. Because once they germinate its fine but once they start growing they would always die
-
What ratio of sand-soil did you find to works the best?
-
From what I hear they have low germ rate too.

From my experience germination was never a problem I had about 70% germ rate.

Sorry I can't remember exactly it was a few years ago and last year the plants died, since I had to move and am in the process of starting a new garden.
