greetings from down south

a big hello to everyone on the forum.
im very happy to have the opportunity to join sts. ive been interested in plant growing for a few years.

living in the southern hemisphere i usually get a cold wet winter and a nice hot dry summer.

cacti is one of my favourite plants, am currently growing a range of species from peruvians to bridgesii. local succulents are also quite fun to grow. my current want is to grow more acacia trees and expanding my bonsai tree collection. currently ive got 3 growing.
ive also got some lemon,olive,pomegranite trees and a few others. im lucky enoough to have access to a small piece of land with quite a few species growing. my local country has plenty of interesting species too.

Hi Spike,

Nice to meet you, and welcome to STS! Take a moment to fill out your grow/wish/share lists and we'll help you out with some new species as soon as you're promoted.

If you have any info on caring for bonsais that would make a great thread. I have a couple seedlings and more seeds on the way for bonsais, but no idea where to go from the seedlings stage.  :P

Welcome to STS spike,

You should show us some pictures of your plants (especially your cacti and bonsai)... I would love to see them.  Plus it's an easy way to get promoted to member.

Sucks, but AU-OS trade isn't cost effective or reliable anymore. Aussie trade encouraged, especially for cactus, dragonfruit, and colour fruited columns.
