Once upon a time in a land not so far away there lived a changuar. The changuar lived in the highest branches of the great changa tree and was the king of all he surveyed. In the before time the manimal was the ally of the changuar and would visit often the jungle Eden to sing the stars and dance the cosmos.
Gradually the manimal forgot the secrets of the changa tree, and without the companionship of the changuar to keep her awake, she fell into an asphalt dream of sterile suburbs and skyscrapers. Without the care of the manimal, the changa tree withered and fell into dormancy, its last act to plant a seed of hope into the heart of the manimal. As the manimal cut down the very last tree to make way for another car park something in her heart stirred and a faded memory of the before time wallowed up; only then did she realize the consequences of her actions. With the final tree gone there was nothing she could do to go back, she had permanently sealed herself into the concrete nightmare; and so she sat down and wept.
The manimal's tears fell into a crack in the sidewalk and into the earth below where the tree had dropped one small seed as she cut it. The seed absorbed the sorrow and memory of the manimal, germinated, and sprouted into a small tree. The manimal was overjoyed to find the sprout; and remembering her purpose as guardian of the sacred garden, she diligently and lovingly cared for the changa tree. She eventually learned of the medicine secrets, collected the seeds, and shared freely with her brothers and sisters of the manimal clan.
And so, once again the did the manimal and the changuar sing the stars and dance the cosmos forever at home under the great changa tree in the jungle Eden.
