Title: ESPD50: The Ethnobotanical Search for Psychoactive Drugs
Post by: Bach on January 23, 2018, 02:00:45 AM
Dennis McKenna's latet project wherein he invited ethnobotanical researchers from across the globe to present their work. Hosted in England in June 2017, the videos have finally been posted in a reliable format. Well worth watching!

A two volume book set is being published as well. The first volume is a reprint of the historic 1967 conference of the same name, while the second volume presents print versions of the talks given at the recent conference in England.  Available for order here:

The latest twitter from Dennis indicates the books are nearing completion and should be shipped in February.  Ordered mine back in July. Can't wait....

Well it took almost a year for the book to be printed and shipped, but the first printing sold out almost immediately. A second print run has been done and the book set is now being offered at Amazon for $76.27 rather than the original $125.  See here:

https://www.amazon.com/Ethnopharmacologic-Search-Psychoactive-Drugs-Vol/dp/0907791689/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1543357305&sr=8-1&keywords=ethnopharmacologic+search+for+psychoactive+drugs

There's a wealth of information there and the quality of the books is very high. If I have a quibble it's that the fit of the slipcase is very tight, but I imagine that it will loosen up with time. A very handsome set to have on your bookshelf.
