I started a little outdoor bed this spring. I used 2 bags of sawdust spawn from northspore. I put down a layer of cardboard then layered up some straw then some spawn. added some sawdust pellets. then layered it in that order till I ran out of spawn. super simple and is already starting to produce!

Very nice malak. So, you are not hydrating pellets before layering?
-
correct I did not hydrate them until the bed was finished I did give it a good soaking and then covered with a piece of plexy glass for 2 weeks.

Great job man. We've also got some winecap spawn just about ready to go out to a patch, just curious to your steps. Thanks a bunch.

These wine caps are so easy to grow and just keep on producing. Hardest part is beating the bugs to them.

Very nice
Tried to get these going once before but I think my syringe I bought was bacterial
Gave it a good few tries but grain always went green on me
Would still love to get these in my garden
Paddy straw mushroom is another one I'd looove to try

I can get some mycelium going on some cardboard and send it to you if you'd like 👍

Problem is our post system is the last couple years has become rather corrupt&unreliable
I've had quiet a bit of stuff that been sent my way that just never arrives...
