Cleaning T5 Lights and Ballasts
« on: September 16, 2014, 10:58:39 PM »

How often should T5 lights and ballasts be cleaned to keep their lumen output consistently optimal? Some illumination on the subject would be much appreciated.  ;)

Not sure about the need to clean a ballast per say.. but T-5 bulbs should be replaced about every 6 months to maintain peak performance.  After this, they shift out of their intended spectrum and lose output.

My lights have been going for 12+ months now and they're still doing great.  Never cleaned them.  They could probably use some new bulbs though.
