I come from a distant land.
« on: August 11, 2013, 06:31:55 AM »

Why hello there family.

Just waving from an alternate dimension.

Anyway. Found this website through a friend and thought I really should make an intro so I can start to be an active member like I am on other forums.
What can I say besides that I am not very versed in plant growing. I hope to learn though; along with learning, I plan to help evolve the community through further research and SHARING!!

I am currently growing a few plants:

-Bamboo ( hard, I know)
-Peace Lilly
-6 Trich Babies
-2 Unid Cacti

I can't wait to have my plants older and more healthy and possibly reproducing! I really would love to expand my "shelf" to a full blown garden and possibly a perma-culture garden.

I really get a kick off the idea of perma-culture.

Either way, I am here now and poking around the forum to hopefully learn.

See ya 'round!

Welcome to STS! It's nice to see new members coming in eager to learn more about growing plants :)

Be sure to view the FAQ and Rules Pages, and I recommend you add the plants you've mentioned to your growing list on your profile page (and also add anything applicable to the share and wish lists), have a look around, we have lots of information posted on STS and it's only going to get bigger from here 8)

Oh, I see.  If you show me some pictures I might be able to ID them for you.  At least I should be able to figure out the Genus.

My Bamboo are just normal; The green kind of bamboo.

I will take pictures of my cacti when I return home. Currently out of state.

Yes, when I said Unid, I was referring to an Unidentified Cacti
