Hello all you wonderful plant lovers from 9B(Coastal Central Florida). My region is a unique area where we may experience only 1 or 2 days below freezing, if that. All Palms proliferate here as well as most tropical fruits, which are some of my favorites. A few I have include Guava, Avacado, Surinam Cherry, Barbados Cherry, StrawBerry Tree(Arbutus unedo)new, Ice cream Tree(Inga Edulis)new, Japoticoba, Brown Turkey Fig, Cola Acuminata(Cola Nut), and recently dead Theobroma Cacao( no thanks to Hurricane Irma).
My other passion is growing ethnobotanical plants, as you can see from my profile. I developed this keen interest after reading Plants of the Gods cover to cover numerous times. Plants that have a illustreous history of helping Mankind for many thousands of years-WOW- what a revelation. Plants not as food source but as spirit guides, medicine and helpers. And the thought that I can touch those ions of history and genetics- with my hands. This to me is a great thrill. It is sad that all people do not respect and celebrate these plants and their contribution to mans development to modern 21st century Homo Sapiens.
And to think I watched the SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch a RED Electric Roadster into space from outside of my office. We live in blessed times!

Thanks folks- it is great to find like minded plant people! By the way, a favorite hobby is plant propagation(seeds/cloning/cuttings/etc). I am always trying to improve my success rate. Looking forward to learning new techniques!
