Title: Its been about 30 days... have my caapi rooted?

This is actually day 28! I set these a few days after I made the post about DIY biodegradeable pots.

Did u use rooting hormone or anything like that or did u just cut them off and throw them in soil?

No rooting hormone or chemicals. I just plucked them straight into the sand/compost mix.

I'm going to try it on some alicia anisopetala on my next day off. If it works I'll spread some cuttings around.

I tried rooting some and they just turned black. Lol.

The soil must have been too moist. Make sure to use oxygenated water when rooting or the cutting will rot.(remember, leafs like CO2 and roots like O2) Using perlite, water, and a bubble stone would be optimal imo.
