Hello all just color me Green in Norcal
« on: January 29, 2020, 07:09:12 AM »

Hi to all
Very glad to meet all here , I’m in central/Northern Calif, on a pretty fertile 3/4 acre,
I think it’s about time I got up to speed on my gardening skills, and this does look like the place to learn!
I haven’t been cultivating much of anything very interesting ,like the galleries here ,in the last few years
thou now , I’m newly retired and can focus on getting some pretty things going
The first thing I need to do , before anything else, is get a handle on morning glories , as I have
Over the last year or so , a large one currently very aggressively overtaking the entire east & frontside of my house, I’m afraid One morning soon I will wake up and It will be in my bed next,
quite a robust invasive creature it is.
Thanks for letting me learn here , I will do what I can to contribute back to what looks like
an impressive Forum!
Thx

Hello fellow newb (only my second post!) ;D I feel you on morning glories. Up here in the north east they can get tough. Nit sure they're feral I. tricolor or some other species but I believe it's called bind weed. Sounds like you got it worse though. Our winters are probably saving us from the worst of it. That Kudzu though, thats another story! It's literally pulling down our trees in places.

Yo aqualung
I need to figure out which particular one it is..
And deal with it accordingly..
That’s where no doubt this Forum with its knowledge
And help will be there..
For sure the winter thou has slowed it down for now
But It won’t be long, and it will awaken, like
A sleeping giant on the other side o the wall..
The largest scariest bumblebees I have ever seen always
Seek it out in the Spring and Summer
Yep ,think the Spring will be here early for us this year
Take care man
