Air layering or ground layering is probably the best option. Ground layering is just burying a section of the vine without cutting it. After about a month the buried part should push roots and be safe to cut from the main vine.

Thanks for the tip! I thought that might work cause that is how all the aya propagates itself down there (he lives in waipio valley) I didn't want to try till I knew.
