Old Catha Edulis (Khat) seed germination

I have some two year old Catha Edulis seeds. Khat seeds are notoriously difficult to germinate, if they are not fresh. I am just curious if anyone has a method of getting these bad boys to sprout. I as considering some gibberellic acid or something.
