Learn from my mistakes. If you plant the seeds too deep they will not sprout.
Optimal depth for germination is between 1/8th and 1/4th an inch. Anything deeper than that and the seeds will have trouble breaking through.
They do best in warm humid temperatures with little fluctuation. The soil should be moist but not wet.
Big fluctuations in temperature can stunt the plants.

They are beautiful babies, leaves so shiny and perfect. I can only add, in my experience, that symptoms of low ambient humidity for seedlings are easy to spot. It manifests in browning of the tips of the leaves, sometimes accompanied by a little yellowing, even in young leaves. If that occurs, it's time to raise the relative humidity in the growing spot. As with other humidity-loving species, it's better to make the air more humid than to soak the substrate too much.

I had ordered fifteen B. muricata from a vendor. Excellent condition it appeared but after planting them at basically your same depth and in rich soil my anisopetala sprouted just fine in under identical conditions not one muricata sprout. They are still looking fine after now maybe approaching three months in the soil. I pulled out a few to get a good look. Seed base is fine and not rotted. So they continue to sit...now my white aya seeds I dug up had rotted away completely which was easy to see. Any thoughts on why the muricata will not go?

I unfortunately don't have any. I will look at stores around here to see if I can find some GA3. What about dipping the seed in a little root hormone. Maybe its the same thing? I'll have to look and see. Thanks

I think root hormon may not work if the seed is dormant, GA3 should be the best option if we not sure about it, i have several grams of GA3 here to share but i dont have a time to go to post office at the moment.

Rooting hormone is Indole-3-butyric acid.
GA3 is gibberillic acid. Both are plant growth regulators but they are completely different. 

Indole-3-butyric will not wake up a dormant seed.

Yeah, GA3 activiates the growth cycles in plants, indole-3-butyric acid just encourages root growth.  You probably wont find GA3 at any store, it's something that is going to be found online.

True that I'll have to see if I can find the funds to purchase some. Sounds like its probably what I need if these seeds are still good.

It's really not expensive.  You can get a gram for a few dollars and it'll last you a while. HERE is a link for a 1g listing but it ends really soon. But that seller has it all he time.  HERE is one for five grams.
