I planted a small root of Ginger about 2 weeks ago, the first week there was no signs anything was growing and I thought I had thrown away a perfectly good piece of ginger, but now look at it :) Now I'm beginning to wonder if it'll out grow that pot...

The pineapple has 6 roots coming out now. Letting it grow a few more then I'll plant it. :D

Thanks for the video once again I use these plants all the time since I cook on a daily basis and I am trying to eat plant based foods as much as possible. I will try the pineapple and ginger propagation this week. Does anyone know if frozen whole ginger would still grow? Is it in a dormant state or due to freezing will it just not grow???

I know that freezing and thawing plants tends to lyse (kill) cells and denature proteins and other such structures. I'd imagine that after a period of freezing, ginger may not be viable due to lysing of cells and other such plant structures. However, that is just some speculation; there's only one way to find out!  ;D

Best of luck,
