Very cool.

"seeds are sometimes germinated by keeping them in a heap three or four inches high and watering them until they sprout. They are then carefully picked apart and planted"

This is pretty close to how I get my novo berries to sprout.

'Peru. History of Coca. The Divine Plant of the Incas' by William Golden Mortimer and 'Mama Coca' by Antonil, both are the best ones I have ever read on the subject.

;) Thanks for the tip! I've not read either of those.  Wade Davis' 'One River' is an enjoyable read too.
